cuneyt - OffiSync: Best of both GoogleDocs and Office Desktop

I couldn't agree with you more. It is, however, this very same myopia that prevents GoogleDocs from growing at an even faster rate within certain segments of the market - most noticeably the mid-market space where there is a lack of IT innovation. As software vendors, we often have the mantra of "eating your own dog food" and never "defecting," or otherwise leveraging your opponents platform. I think that this software machismo is overrated. I, on the other hand, will gladly eat my enemy's rations if if allows me to outmaneuver them at a later date. By making "the switch" easier for end-users with a Windows desktop integration, Google would paint the way for more growth among the leagues of non-technical savvy office workers.

Google Gears (offline client) will get there, just a matter of time.

Hence, it is purely a non-profit.

It's part of the upstart blogger futurosity theme. As well, I'm using the GetRecentComments Wordpress plugin. Just use Firebug to sniff the CSS used around the unordered list items.

cuneyt - Internet erodes middlemen: Why is Scoble Surprised?

That is very true, and I would agree that the media aren't inclined to glamorize the image of industry overseas. In the end, however, its only harmful in as much avoiding telling your children the truth about a difficult topic is. At some point, the nation has to take heed and change. Would love to see the media use this as a motivational tool, as opposed to hiding from it.

Scobleizer - Internet erodes middlemen: Why is Scoble Surprised?

I guess that a lot of these changes don't make them apparent until you see them face-to-face. Also, the American media doesn't tell us much about how China really works and what their workers are capable of so we tend to underestimate them. When you visit and get a good tour you see that they are far more skilled than your media tells you they are. I saw a group of workers using a scanning electron microscope. Do you know how to use one of those? I don't. Also, the speed at which things are done here is stunning.
