Thanks Steph. I've heard of Lulu, and I think that if all else fails I might give it a try. Do your friends say what sort of sales they have there? For the moment I will carry on blogging. In a short time I have made some very good contacts. I put my blogs onto pingoat and get replies from places I didn't even post- one has put me onto a small publisher called 'DogHorn' and I'm waiting for a reply from them. Tomorrow night I am speaking at the writers' forum at Staffordshire university. It's nice to be doing 'author things. ' The other two authors are Lynn Grocott (Cut the Strings), with whom I share a website (but whose publisher doesn't deal with fiction) and Dominic Took (Storms of Acaias) , who has self published. Dominic went to Eastern Europe to get his work printed. As I have little in the way of disposable income at the moment I can't even afford that, so it may eventually be Lulu. Wow, that is disappointing! Since you seem to be on the lookout for non-conventional methods of publishing, check out Lulu, if you haven't already. They help you self-publish on the cheap, so I'm told. I haven't used them, personally, but it comes highly recommended from a few author friends of mine.

Hi Steph- Wow, thanks for the comment, that so fits with my blog. I'm not familiar with Lee Pennington's work, but having Googled his name he seems to be a writer of varied interests who has avoided being pinned down to one genre, and his tenacity is an inspiration. Are you a published author, or still trying to be?
