It's good that there are more open atheists in the media. I wonder how this will change things for atheist children growing up. BTW: intensedebate is the absolute worst commenting system around, even more irritating than Haloscan. You'd get more comments if you got rid of it and used your system's default commenting interface.

Just for the record ... I am a (Catholic) Christian and I am amazed at the total nonsense, hatred, ignorance and ridiculous lack of reasoning that some 'christian's' display. However to be fair these shortcommings are rooted in their individual humanity and their inability to comprehend, as opposed to being rooted in God's divinity. So, please don't buy into the twisted image, reflected from a twisted mirror. Don't believe the handful of ridiculously irrational persons who claim to be christians. Simillarly, don't reflect a simillarly twisted image by claiming such a general statement that "Christian's believe the darnest things". The truth is that people and not christian's believe the darnest things, as they are people first and foremost. What we claim to be and what we are, are two differnt things. Finally, I would like to apologise for the shame that these christian's have brought upon themselves and other's who believe in a God of love, compassion and forgiveness.

Why do you need to advertise atheism? Is it not your own personal opinion? You seem to have obviously made a firm decision in atheism, which must have come about through alot of self-assessing right? I think that even though religions have large communities with common beliefs, its still very much a personal thing, between the person and their god, no matter how much time they spend with others through the day, be it 2 hours or 10 hours per day. I'm guessing the personal thing with atheists is to their own thoughts huh?

Guess that answers that. I needed to try another theme since I noticed (though not before now) that other posts were having the same problem. As much as I liked the serenity and natural appearance of the other theme it's deleted. Please say a prayer to the Spaghetti Monster on my behalf that this issue is resolved and no new ones crop up. ;)

Well hell, I might as well live up to my "radical" status and try a radical fix. This is probably not the best time to try out a new theme, but let's see if that fixes this issue (without causing 20 more). You know, 99% of the time I love WP. Tonight is one of those other 1% times.

Grrr... Not the plugins. I disabled each one in turn and no change. I also notice the options to edit, leave a comment and go to comments are also inoperative. I'm left thinking it's something in the permalink structure or the theme. Thanks to everyone for your patience and suggestions.

Well, I've validated the HTML in an editor and done everything I can think of to make the links work to no avail. Supremely frustrating. It may be something to do with the way the theme works, though it's never done this before. My apologies, all. I'll add a note to let everyone know to read this on the home page to be able to access the linked pages.

I'm using a Mac and I get the same results with Safari and Firefox. Don't know if the problem is platform specific. Holy Crap! "platform specific" that sounded like I knew what the bleep I was talking about. Move over ShamWow guy, there is new con-artist on the street!
