I have never even thought about this. But maybe restaurants are not offering half portions because they like things simple. I also think that this is a great idea as there would be less food that will go to waste. As a person really concerned regarding the abundance of food here and the lack of it in developing countries, I don't want to waste food and a smaller portion when I'm not too hungry would be good for that.

In starts up it is necessary to keep track of works so one can know what is happening and why that is happening..if problems are coming why it is coming..we can only all these things by keeping track of others work...yes get more from employee you have to do this in start up company...

If you could order 1/2 a portion for the same price would you do it? Probably not. For them to give you twice as much food costs the restaurant very little more. As a former owner of two restaurants I can tell you that they try to provide greater perceived value through larger portions. Why not just take the extra home in a doggy bag. Although I will say it is a very good idea, it just goes against the economics of a restaurant. What would be more practical would be to make a menu item (as long as preparation time is minimal) like a sampler platter at many restaurants.

This is cool! It just adds a nice little touch to the gmail experience. Although I've noticed a lot of my gmail friends don't have gravatars, only about half have them. Which is weird because I put one up there right away...I thought it was a pretty cool feature. Anyway, good work !!

After working for 8 to 9 hours in the office I do not feel so much of hungry..so always I prefer 1/2 or if available 1/4 of a plate...due to some reasons some restaurant do not have these options(lucky that near my house there are not such restaurants)so some times footfall decreases and the resturant fails
