I really enjoy witnessing your journey to 300,000 points. I have played some terrible games in the past and must admit that even though I finish them I still end up with the "Why did I just waste my time playing through this game I didn't enjoy?" syndrome.

Karma - Adventures of a Vicarious Gamer: Everything in Moderation??

I'm a newlywed myself, and my husband got me addicted to the Xbox (although I always said I never would!). When we play 1 player games, we take timed turns. For games like Fable that have a lot of running around and looking for stuff, we take 2 hour turns, because any less than that, and the player feels like they didn't get much accomplished; any more than that, and the waiting player feels like they're waiting FOREVER. For quicker games like Peggle, we take 1 hour turns. That way it feels fair to everyone. One thing that may help with slacking off, is setting up some sort of chore list, and while one person is taking their turn, the other tries to knock off as many chores as possible while the other is gaming. So that kind of becomes a game in itself. And once all the chores are done, you feel no guilt, and you can indulge in a new book :)

I've been playing games since the 80s and I've never confused controls... except for when I was playing Super Mario Sunshine and Price of Persia and tried to rewind time after falling into a gap... on Sunshine! :D

Nocturne - Nerd Rage: Stop Controlling Me

Each game has different controls because of different developers and although, the genre is the same, the games are still different, each has its own feeling, or maybe even more actions that need to be fit on one controller. Actually, i played alot games on my xbox, but the controller doesnt have hundred buttons, thats why its easy to play games, after i played WoW on PC, which has tons of binds to buttons, console controller is just a pie. Of course there are games which have controls that would've been better. But i never get the problem of being stuck at controls ;)

Hannah - Adventures of a Vicarious Gamer: Gaming, Social Media, & Gender Relations

I support you and your gaming preferences, Lauren! I haven't noticed any unusually vindictive behavior from other females... but that may be because I get the attitude you described persistently in every venue just for being a female INTJ. If female gamers are mean to me, it's not any more than females are in general irl, so maybe I don't notice. WoW girl gamers are usually nice from what I've experienced so far, and you would probably enjoy the social aspect of it if you are willing to pay the subscription. (I can recruit you and we will get triple XP for 90 days!!! *.* ) I have also never been able to get into the FPS genre, although I have enjoyed the occasional casual 007 session with friends.

Without your comments I would have never figured out the A button allowed you to test it for standing 3 seconds. The tip for the training mode was also helpful. The culprit, BTW, is Mass Effect.
