I don't really think that what YOU, crankywhitewoman, were taught has had much of an impact on the official policy of the Presbyterian and Methodist church policy makers. If you don't believe me, check it out. Furthermore, if you have never heard of Replacement Theology, you don't know too much about Christianity. I personally remember as a child listening to Christian preachers on the radio rattle on about how evil Israel is, that it will fail, that it is cursed by God, etc. Christian love for Israel is relatively new and was mostly as a result of the Cold War where the U.S. "sponsored" Israel, and the USSR "sponsored" the Arab countries. If you don't believe me, I don't care, but that, crankywhitewoman, is a fact of history. CUFI is a wonderful organization and a true friend of Israel but it in no way represents the majority of Christians either in this country or in the world.
